Pictures from my second Baghdad run: (Note: The jail and BCCF are words for Abu Ghraib) 1st AD- they've left(at least as far as Kuwait), but they still have their sign in front of their old HQ. Airport police- they've got new cars. Airport- one of the buildings at the airport. Turs out to have been their accounting department. Another wall- writing on one of the walls in BCCF. Bald tire- $87 billion and these are my tires. Billboard- I guess this is a no fly zone. BK- there's a very minimal Burger King near the airport PX. Special orders would upset them if they spoke any English. Bob Hope- I hope I never piss anyone off enough for them to name an Army chow hall after me. Cafe- This used to be the chow hall in the jail. Charlie through Dovich/McLaughlin- Us with our shotguns in front of the mural from our last trip. Dry Fountain- At the airport. Emond Chase- we wandered around the jail one night. Emond Huong- Checking out a cell. EOD- a funky vehicle in the parking lot. Hazen through Westcott- some of the guys. Info- This is for us, Martha Jo. There are some good links here. Kiowa- a helicopter. Jail Mural- I think these were in the Mortar Cafe. Either that or an identical room next to it. Chase and I were doing this in the dark, so we really only saw what we were shooting after we were done. We got a few of each other, but it took a while. Handwash- Hogwash. Side armored- A poor man's uparmored. This is my truck. The suspension is crying and it brings understeer to a new dimension. The windows may provide safety, but they restrict visibility a bit. Terminal Plaque- right in front of the terminal. Uparmored LMTV- I hadn't seen one of these before. Wall- writing on one of the walls in BCCF. Westcott, Hazen- The guys.
